Northern California Urology Medical Clinic is a provider for Medicare. We are also a member of the preferred provider panel for Blue Shield of California and its affiliates. We also provide insurance billing for all plans. Medicare payments for covered services, less co-pay and deductibles, are accepted as payment in full. Blue Shield payments for covered services, that are paid under the terms of our contract with Blue Shield, less co-pay and deductibles, are accepted as payment in full. For patients whose insurance plans call for a penalty or decreased reimbursement for going outside of the panel, we are able to make accomodations to offset that penalty. For non-Medicare or non-Blue Shield insured, all fees not covered by the insurance company are the full responsibility of the patient unless accomodations have been made. We request payment at the time of your appointment for services that are not covered by insurance. Your insurance company may also require you to pay a co-payment at the time of your appointment. When necessary, our staff will work closely with patients who require a payment plan.
